okay soo most of you people out there have a big hate on the fact yoda and vader are are in the new soul calibur game and the reasons i have herd have been the fallowing
- lightsabers vs swords the lightsaber would cut threw the sword..
-vader and yoda have no place in the soul calibur world
- unfair force powers and other abilitys
-why starwars and soulcalibur have anything to do with each other...
well some of these i can actually answer for you or make you think out side of the box alittle to make you all stop thinking soo negetively well first off lets go for the first on the list
for those of you who have ever played kotor (starwars knights of the old republic) you would know that they was actually a part in the game in witch they sead lightsabers and swords can clash together that a person with a sword had just as much of a chance of beating someone with a lightsaber now the reason is or was because somewere in the galaxy far far away there was a metal made that could stop a lightsaber and would be able to clash with it and not cut threw it like a hot knive threw butter tho this metal was a very rare and special metal atleast we can say that is a reason for soul calibur if you imagin that every sword in the game has some of this special metal in it soo thats one way to look at it and for those of you who havent played kotor well now you know.............(someone when i wrote this blog awhile back replyed with this answer... Kifireledius:ibroblades were the precursor to lightsabers, it was the frequency of the blade that made it withstand a lightsaber for a period of time. but they dont last that long. and the fact that the soul calibur characters do not have batteries or power in their swords =/
BTW soul calibur is on earth... and star wars is in a galaxy far far far away... and if you remember in starwars they never really ever left their galaxy. :.... so even if that is the case or not its a reason to think out of the box alittle..) oh p.s it might be in a galaxy far far away but they do lead on that they have been to many many galaxys as well as places
now this second one i gotta have some debait over cuz well i dunno the story lines yet soo i cant fully answer it but my guesses are and i have a few
-first off maybe the soul calibur world is on a planet were everything isnt as techno advance as everywere elts almost like a midevil planet witch would make some sense and vader perhaps felt a "disturbance in the force and went to the planet to check it out or he felt some great power {aka soul egde soul calibur or some one elts}" soo if the story line was that it would make some sense ( ohhh was i right or was i right hahah i nailed that on the head...sorta)
- my other idea is that if any of you remeber soul calibur 2 you would remeber that 2 of the characters from that game or 2 editions of the game had characters who time travel witch would be heihachi mishima and spawn (keep in mind there was spawns from differnt time periods the spawn they use is al simmons witch would be the one from more present day and not in the past like the game is set) both characters time travel back to the time were these events take place soo possibly that is what happins with vader and yoda but instead of throwing the hole time travel idea out there maybe they keep it to them selfs alittle more
-my other option is who cares the point is more or less there guest characters they are ment to be special one of a kind and something special you wouldnt normaly see soo if you look at it as that way then it shouldnt extreamly matter cuz being able to play as them should just be in all good fun
now onto the force powers thing by the sounds of it yah they might have force powers but apparntly in getting force powers they will be lacking something elts and they cant use there force powers the hole match cuz apparntly theres a power bar or something stopping them from doing that the hole time plus whats a star wars character with out force powers well hes just a lightsaber and a face its kinda needed honnestly but it shouldnt be a huge deal force powers arnt gonna over power a character to the point were no one can beat him(and that is the truth there deffiently is a balance)
this one sadly i cant remeber this very second but i know starwars and soul calibur have a mutual company or something in common i think it was that one of lucas's companys helped develop a namco game or namco helped make a star wars game or something along them lines i honnestly cant really remeber what it is right now i use to know but sadly at this moment i got no clue
ahh!! i found out! haha ThX! Thx is a company george lucas owns and witch was used in soul calibur 3 soo possibly the reason why they are in the new game vader and yoda it is because since soulcalibur already had ties with lucas in a way they kinda went and asked yah know hey can we get licence of these characters to use in are games because im sure they were gonna use Thx again in there newest game soo thats one possiblity if im wrong tho then oh well haha but it just seems like that could really be the reason why (if not it atleast sounds pretty good)
but anyways write me let me know what you think about soul calibur 4 and ur thoughts on everything
